Bryan P. Davidson

Bryan Davidson is an associate who delivers strategic, business-minded counsel across both litigation and transactional matters, with a practice that includes corporate transactions, intellectual property, and complex civil litigation. Clients value his ability to translate multifaceted legal and regulatory issues into clear, actionable solutions that advance their goals.

Bryan brings a unique combination of litigation insight, policy experience, and industry-specific knowledge to his work. Before joining the firm, he served as Policy Director for the ACLU of Tennessee, where he led statewide legislative initiatives, negotiated with elected officials across the political spectrum, and collaborated with staff attorneys on high-impact civil rights matters. His work included drafting legislation, shaping litigation strategies, supporting discovery and motion practice, and managing multi-organization advocacy efforts. Bryan also served as a spokesperson in national and regional media, giving him a seasoned understanding of how legal issues intersect with public perception and organizational strategy.

In addition to his litigation experience, Bryan has a strong transactional background rooted in entertainment, media, and intellectual property law. As an independent attorney, he represented emerging and established artists, creators, and businesses in recording and publishing agreements, licensing and distribution deals, collaboration and production contracts, trademark registration, and brand partnership negotiations. His firsthand experience in the creative industries—combined with his business training—enables him to offer pragmatic, commercially focused guidance to clients navigating IP assets and complex commercial arrangements.

He earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review. He graduated summa cum laude from Belmont University with a B.B.A. in Music Business. His written work has appeared in the Tennessee Bar Journal.

A former professional musician, Bryan brings creativity, discipline, and collaboration to his legal practice. Outside the office, he enjoys cycling, hiking, gardening, and live music.
